Instead of a visa, an Electronic Travel Authority can be arranged when purchasing your airline ticket for those holding passports from the following countries: Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, UK and the USA (amongst others).

The Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs
has launched its Internet Electronic Travel Authority (IETA) website. The
website address is: http://www.eta.immi.gov.au
Through this website you can apply for Visitor or Business Short Validity
ETAs for a nominal processing fee of AUD $20.00. Business Long Validity
ETAs will be made available on the website in the future. ETAs may
still be obtained through your travel agent or through the airline carrying
you into
Australia.
The Visitor ETA is suitable for tourism or visiting purposes.
The Business Short Validity ETA is suitable for attendees of conferences,
business meetings, conventions and seminars.

Airport Transfers
The cost of a taxi fare from the International Terminal to UWA is ~US$15
and from the Domestic Terminal is ~US$14. Buses from the terminals
to Perth City Centre are available - another taxi or bus is then required
to UWA.
If taking a Transperth bus from the City Centre to UWA you must walk
to the bus stop on St George'S Tce near Westralia Square. Take bus
no. 72. These buses do not run late at night and there is a reduced
service on Sundays.

Taxis cannot be flagged down in the street. You must wait at
a Taxi Terminal or call for a taxi:

Travel around Perth
Details of using the metro bus system around Perth can be obtained
from Transperth. This

The following buses operate between the City and the UWA campus :

Bus Nos. 71, 72 and 73
St George's Terrace - Mounts Bay Road - UWA - Cottesloe and return
The 71, 72 & 73 buses run from outside Uni (front entrance, Mounts
Bay Rd) to the busport in the city where you can catch
connecting buses. They travel to Cottesloe beach in the opposite
direction.
The 78 bus runs from Wellington St bus station straight to Uni and back
again at 10 - 15 minute intervals during morning and
evening peak hour. During the middle of the day the 78 service
operates at half hour intervals.
SUBIACO TRAIN STATION/UWA SHUTTLE BUS
No. 97 - Subiaco Train Station to the Campus
Monday to Friday : every 15 minutes
: 7am to 6.30pm
Saturday :
every 30 minutes : 9am to 6pm
Sundays/public holidays : every 60 minutes 9am to 6pm
Fare (one way) $1.80
The Shuttle leaves from the bus stand at the top level of Subiaco Train
Station outside Subi Centro, travels via
Rokeby Road, Nicholson Road, Derby Road, Aberdare Road, Hospital Avenue,
Monash Avenue, Hampden Road, Broadway, Clark Street,
Fairway and returns via the same route to Subiaco Train Station
